Hello, my name is Nate and I'm a recovering careerist

I’m a fortysomething professional steadily working toward financial independence. So far, I’m on track to meet my goal of retiring in my 40s. More than just early retirement, the autonomy, freedom and lifestyle that accompanies financial independence is my ultimate goal.

I am an industrial-organizational psychologist by training with a 20+ year career in consulting and human resources. I am also a recovering careerist.

I currently live in Los Angeles with my wife and two rescued "bully" breed dogs. I’m happiest when I’m spending time with family and friends, riding a bike, hiking, traveling, playing with the dogs, and drinking craft beer.
